De toekomst rijdt elektrisch. In combinatie met het sharing-idee ontstaan tegenwoordig innovatieve eCar- & eBikeSharing-concepten, zoals in de euregio rijn-maas-noord. De stad Venlo heeft zich als lead partner samen met de stad Roermond, Kreis Viersen en zijn Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderungsgesellschaft en de stad M\u00f6nchengladbach met haar WFMG het doel gesteld om een grootschalig, flexibel en elektromobiel bike- en carsharing programma op te zetten. In het kader van het INTERREG-project SHAREuregio werd het initiatief Unplug & Go in het leven geroepen. Het doel hiervan is de elektromobiliteit van de auto en de fiets te stimuleren en vooral ook de grensoverschrijdende mobiliteit te ondersteunen. Doordat er minder met verbrandingsmotoren wordt gereden, wordt er ook een bijdrage geleverd aan de bestrijding van de luchtvervuiling in de regio. Daarnaast is het een aanvulling van het openbaar vervoer en vergroot het de aantrekkelijkheid van de regio als vestigingsplaats.<\/p>\n

De elektrische voertuigen zullen onder andere grensoverschrijdend worden ingezet. Met behulp van een app kan een specifieke route worden gereserveerd. In eerste instantie is het aanbod gericht op een beperkt aantal bedrijven en organisaties waarvan de werknemers bijvoorbeeld vaak de grens over gaan voor dienstreizen, of ook kleinere ondernemers uit dezelfde grensplaats die zo’n auto gezamenlijk delen voor leveringen. Op dit moment zijn er 40 elektrische auto’s beschikbaar in de grensregio. Het aantal voertuigen zal in de toekomst worden uitgebreid en het systeem zal ook voor priv\u00e9gebruik toegankelijk worden gemaakt.<\/p>\n

Het SHAREuregio-project wordt in het kader van het INTERREG-programma Deutschland-Nederland uitgevoerd. De Europese Unie verstrekt hiervoor een subsidie vanuit het Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling (EFRO). Tot de financi\u00eble ondersteuners van dit project behoren bovendien het ministerie van Economische Zaken, Innovatie, Digitalisering en Energie van de deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen (MWIDE) en de Nederlandse provincie Limburg, alsmede de projectpartners Greenflux Assets BV, NEW AG, EMTB, FH Aachen, Gemeente Venlo, Gemeente Roermond, de stad M\u00f6nchengladbach en Kreis Viersen.<\/p>\n
