The project entails concrete measures for sensitizing and encouraging of German and Dutch SMEs in the process of digital transformation of innovative products, models for production processes and business models. Target groups are the manufacturing industry, IT-engineering and the technical installations sector. Through the cross border exchange of knowledge, the innovative potential of German and Dutch SMEs in the project area will be used and their participation to the digital transformation, also referred to as Smart Industry/Industrie 4.0, supported. Through participation in the project, they will be able to withstand the threats of the process of digitalisation and thus, increase their competitiveness.
The project partners communicate to SMEs about the project through a set of PR and communication measures in close correspondence to 17 regional development agencies in their capacity as associate collaborative partners.
The partners see to it that the SMEs in the target groups receive support from the other side of the border through measures such as cross border workshops, product-, process- and business model development, coachings, clustering with SMEs and institutes from the neighbouring country and shared facilities. The project partners’ regional coordinators work together in a cross border project team to facilitate the implementation of these activities and are responsible for the concrete participation of SMEs to the project.
The lead partner bears responsibility to carry out the correctadministrative procedures. The project partners’ regional coordinators support the SMEs in clustering with counterparts from the neighbouring country.
