In context of the project, the target group has been sensitized toward the neighboring country’s job market by means of a several weeks long qualifications program, which focuses on the participants’ possibilities and needs. In this way they have lowered or even overcome their inhibitions of “the unknown” on the other side of the border. Already in this phase potential employers (not only temporary employment agencies but also several companies were approached) were included into the qualification program. The specific profiles were compared to the participants’’ individual requirements and possibilities. The methodical experiences of the “work first” approach, which concentrated on the strengthening of self-insufficiency, were also incorporated into the program.
