Doing business without borders: The Wirtschaftsförderung Bocholt and the Gemeente Oude IJsselstreek launched the INTERREG V A project “International Network Office”. Here companies have found answers and solutions! In both municipalities there was a free service point for German-Dutch topics and questions on doing business. Specialists were pleased to assist companies! In addition, a center of expertise has been set up in Bocholt. Here, an experienced matchmaker worked out a plan of action with the companies for their desired cross-border business activities or cooperations, and supported them with their implementation by providing information and relevant contacts. In line with the companies´ demand, the matchmaker also coordinated the contact with private advisers and public institutions – both in Germany and the Netherlands. This helped the companies to save time and money! The project has strengthened cross-border contact between companies and initiated cooperation. Fundamental questions of the German-Dutch business world were also discussed at several information evenings. The International Network Office focused on entrepreneurs in the region Achterhoek and the neighbouring region around Bocholt. The service-activities of the “International Network Office” will be continued independently after the end of project.
